The Twenties may have been the time for female artists to shine, there is quite a strong representation of women in The Art Gallery of New South Wales permanent collection of this time. I wonder why?
Anyway, I always go and look at Sonia DeLaunay when I am in Canberra. I learnt about her when I was at university and I still love her colour and vibrancy and the story of her life in Paris!
