Things from 2011

1. I laughed more than I cried.
2. I surfed more than ever before. I embraced the surfer traveling van life a few times!
3. Bananas became a luxury item.
4. I carved my first ever pumpkin on Halloween
5. I got naked in the sun and by the sea. A lot.
6. Fell in love with the family who owns Desire Books in Manly and delighted in the magical Bonfire nights in the shop.
7. I sewed hundreds of clothes with my own two hands and sold them to all sorts of beautiful men and women out of my own shop.
8. I became addicted to Instagram and made lovely friends online with magic photos of their days. Then magically I met them in the real world too.
10. I turned 30 and realized I am such a lucky lady.
11. I became a true local of Manly appearing in the daily surf blog sproutdaily, the Manly Daily front page and sitting in my fave cafe belgrave cartel when they were featured in SMH Good Living.
12. My heart got a little bit broken
13. I was wilder and more authentic than I'd ever been
14. I made a hand knitted wolf mask for a Sydney band
15. I was a fruitarian and a vegetarian for 6 months and then I ate my mums roast lamb.
16. My red lipped Melbourne friend Lorena taught me how to use a knitting machine and got me hooked on Korean soap dramas
17.I fell in love with the Flower markets. I had a pop up flower shop with Gypsy Jacket and styled the spring launch at local pub The Steyne.
18. I felt so depressed I didn't even want to drink.
19. I learnt how to hula hoop
20. I got political. I got really angry that we don't let more refugees in to Australia. I found it difficult to accept women who wear the burka, and I got excited about our female Prime Minister and the carbon and mining tax being brought into law.
21. I wore red lips and felt like a woman.
