marmalade and making

I have been busy making special orders and my summer collection.
And I made marmalade for the first time with my mama, with oranges from the old orange tree in my folks backyard. My sister usually makes it with her, but she lives in Melbourne so I got to this year! And it is YUMMY! Organic [left to their own devises with the possums], slightly tart, it is a real treat.
We are selling it in the shop for $5 a jar.
I loved Paddington bear as a child and all he ate was marmalade sandwiches.
I also thought you might like to see what I have been working on for summer. I pick up my prints today from my screenprinter Screenhaus in St Peters, so exciting! I love getting my new prints each season, and this summer we are having a classic french stripe. So you can all channel your french chic.
Happy Friday people!
if you are in the mood for a stylish Bike Ride, get along to the Tweed Ride this sunday, register at 8am at Sydney Town Hall in all your tweed dapper style. Facial hair very welcome. Look at the ride in London here , if only we didn't have to wear a helmet we would look so much more cool!

Theatre: EDWARD GANT'S AMAZING FEATS OF LONELINESS

Edward Gant's Amazing Feats of Lonliness is a fabulous production at The Sydney Theatre Company.
I went last night.
The costumes are by Romance Was Born. And they were amazing and beautiful and sent a gasp and a oooo through my lips at many a moment throughout the play.
A beautiful, grotesque, real, fantastical play about the Mystery of life and the heartache and loneliness and bravery of humans. So enjoyable on a very wet soggy night in Sydney.
I hope the rain drys up a bit for the weekend. But no matter get amongst the fabulous interesting things we have going on in our cities and streets and houses!
Happy Friday Friends.

We are now happily making posies and flower bombs and love hearts.
Come by today till 6pm and Saturday 10 to 5pm to pick up a little colour and beauty for you or a friend this weekend.
Happy 1st July people!
Mr Fraser said on Sprout Daily this morning...
"Looking for some flowers on this first Friday of July?  Beattie & Sarah have been up early at the flower markets this morning putting together a little pop-up flower store at The Beattie Lanser Boutique on Sydney Rd, Fairlight.Drop-in for some flowers and check out Beattie’s range of hand-made threads while you’re there.  Oh and no doubt the Friday bubbly will flow this afternoon or don’t be a stranger…. the girls will be there all day or until sold out."
