friday

Morning all.
Yesterday was a momentous occasion in the shop...
because after weeks [could be months] of designing, analysing, workshopping, discussing and basically being typical designers...
we put our shop sign up!
I am now on the street permanently.

Thanks to Tracey for her graphic design, Signarama for the sign, Darren for his drilling and Max what can I say. Max is a legendary handyman. Oh and Little Gladys for her presence.
oh and tell me if you like my new window dispay.
My ode to Autumn, my favourite Month.

Emma Leonard

Emma Leonard is a fellow Carni [ an endearing term my friend Jen came up with. You know carnival people!]
anyway I met Emma at Finders Keepers Market last year and fell in love with her artworks and prints and gorgeous stall set up.
I then found out my friends had given her and her friend a lift home from Sydney Finders Keepers Market after no Taxi would stop for them. Sometimes Sydney people really shine!

oh and check out some of her new drawings she is working on here. I can't wait!
You may have seen her print in my shop or on the FK website here.
She has a beautiful Blog and all her prints are in her etsy shop here for your pleasurable viewing and purchasing.
I can't wait to see her again in Melbourne for Finders Keepers Markets in less than 2 weeks!!!!
and I can't wait to see her new artworks.

Enamel Diction

I Love The Smell Of Nail Polish In The Morning. Jason Stackhouse, True Blood
Enamel Diction is a new book by local Duo Sean and Tamara of The Initiative

What does our nail polish really say about us? Is the diction just fiction?
Enamel Diction takes an edgy view at how we express our personality
through nail polish. For less than a mani/pedi it is the perfect gift for
the forward facing fashion conscious girl who has (or wants)
    everything.
The book consists of over 50 pages of eye popping colour and is
printed on recycled carbon neutral paper, using 10 colour process
printing featuring a full mind blowing spectrum of nail colours,
    including fluros and metallics.
Centred around positive self expression, Enamel Diction is
refreshingly real and not a typical fru fru style fashion book.
With references to music, literature, movies, pop culture and fashion,
    not everyone will get it
(and we are more than OK with that), but we know you will.

This is a very witty book, which is on sale in the shop for $29.95
Come in and check it out.
The perfect gift for your enamel addicted friend!
Sit down with a cup of tea or a Lime caprioska and laugh away as your nail colour is interpreted by The Initiative.
