"Grey is out. Gloom is gone. It’s time to live our lives in colour.
The Let’s Colour Project is a worldwide initiative from DuluxDulux ValentineCoral and Marshall to transform grey spaces with colourful paint. A mission to spread colour all over the world.
They are working together with local communities across the globe, rolling up our sleeves to paint streets, houses, schools and squares."
It’s the beginning of a colour movement that everyone can join in. Follow the journey on theLet’s Colour Blog and sign up now to find out how you can be a part of it.

Bike adventure I am calling the 3 Bridges.
Harbour Bridge [love that pattern... textile print?]
Falcon Street pink overpass
Spit Bridge
I have been high as the swells were on Friday that cancelled my ferry ride home and meant I was encouraged to take my chances with the 3 Bridges.

And the winner is...

3 Deep  Graphic designers from Melbourne, Australia had a competition recently 'We didn't do it I promise'  inspired by Famous Visual Services and the Melbourne Festival. Basically one of their old designs was ripped off quite obviously by another graphic design firm but all in good fun they had a competition for up and coming graphic designers to tell why they preffered their original design rather.Apparantly they had lots of colourful and creative entries that spoke about the similarities of this years Melbourne Festival image to their work on The Young Guns of Wine Festival image created in 2009. So while we were spoiled for choice there can only be one winner..
View the winning entry here!and the winner is my beautiful friend Tracey. She is definately not just a pretty Face!

so I discovered this label today.
5Preview
how great are the prints!
I love Paris and Italy and the designer now lives in Sweden!
here is the story

IN JANUARY 2008 THE BRAND 5PREVIEW WAS BORN BY COINCIDENCE IN VIA CAVOUR N°221 ROME ITALY.
EMELI MÃ…RTENSSON, PRINTDESIGNER AND ILLUSTRATOR, WORKED SINCE MANY YEARS AS A DESIGNER FOR A BIG ITALIAN MAISON BUT GOT TIRED OF THIS AND STARTED TO PRINT HER OWN T-SHIRTS AT HOME. THE BRAND WAS CALLED 5 PREVIEW, AS A PREVIEW OF WHAT WOULD LATER COME: A 5-PIECE-COLLECTION.

Check out their online store here
I also really love how that have all these photos of real people in their clothes. It is really fun and real and wonderful.
Inspired?

3.8.10

so on my enormous blog travels around the world wide web I stumbled across this one called Dores.
this is my favourite post of hers

She has this friend who makes knitwear on a knitting machine something i have always wanted to do.
and look at these beautiful photos and colours!
check out her shop online here
I want these leggings.
I love what she writes here "ALL sweaters are made by me, Annie Lee Larson. Every step of the process to design and produce your sweater is in my hands, made in the storefront studio of my apartment. Though I take great care in constructing each garment, they still carry evidence of a human touch. Be happy to know that your sweater has already been loved by another person before it even gets to you! "
oh so inspired and encouraged to keep creating and being Beattie!
